How you can help

Vote YES on Proposition 1 in November, to support public power in Thurston County.

We can’t match PSE’s bottomless wallet. Our strength is in our message, and our volunteers. The message is useless, without volunteers getting it out to the voters. We’re down to the end game, so jump on in:

1. Adopt a precinct: Go door-to-door in your adopted precinct and convince voters to cast their vote for Proposition 1. Talk with folks who have not decided which way to cast their ballots and convince them to vote YES on Prop. 1. We can give you a walking list of “good” houses to approach. You can engage the voters, or just drop literature.

Call Chris Stegman: 705-3528, to adopt a precinct.

2. Plug into the Sign-Waving Campaign: Bring your signs, or get them from us, and encourage commuters to Vote YES on Proposition 1!

Call Bruce Fortune: 570-0761, for more information.

Donate money or material support

We also need donations — we are competing against more than $500,000 of corporate propaganda from PSE. Any amount, regardless of size, helps. Your donation of $50 allows us to contact another 500 voters! Just click on the “Donate” button below:

… and you can donate even if you do not have a PayPal account.  If you would rather send a check, please mail it to:

Thank you!

Talk with people about the benefits of public power

We need you to talk to your friends and neighbors about public power and ask them to talk with their friends and neighbors.  We will soon have single-sheet pages you can download and print to help you in your conversations.  Puget Sound Energy and their “astroturf” organization is spreading lies and misinformation trying to convince people to vote against their own best interest.

You can find lots of information, all available for download, to help you discuss the issue with your friends and neighbors, here on our website. Go here to get the info you need.

Contact local officials and let them know you support public power

Contact city and county officials and let them know that you support public power. Check out our list of local government contacts here.

And a whole host of other things! …

There are dozens of important tasks and we could use your help with any one of them. Please contact us: — we’d love to hear from you!
